Detective Pikachu Announced For Switch

May 29, 2019

During the Pokémon Press Conference 2019, 4 announcements were made, amongst other a continuation of the original Detective Pikachu game, released in 2016 for the 3DS. No images or details were revaled — just an announcement. The game will be coming to the Switch. It’s unclear whether it will be a sequel, but the original game ended on a cliffhanger and the English interpreter of the Japanese announcement stated that “the conclusion to the story will finally be coming to Nintendo Switch”, so there’s a high possibility it will be a sequel.

The other 3 announcements are as follows:

  1. Pokémon Home: a cloud service that will work with Nintendo Switch and iOS and Android devices, allowing you to bring over the Pokémon that you’ve shared adventures with throughout your journey.
  2. Pokémon Sleep: the successor to Pokémon GO with a focus on improving your sleep quality and turning it into a fun gamified experience
  3. Pokémon Masters: a new Pokémon mobile game that lets you battle alongside your favorite Pokémon Trainers, including Misty and Brock. Reveal and gameplay:
