Nintendo Confirms There Are No Plans for Skyward Sword on Switch

Recently at the Legend of Zelda 2018 Concert event in Japan Eiji Aonuma made a comment about Skyward Sword on Switch which created a whirlwind of chatter on the internet and got many people hyped for the possibility.  I mean, why make a comment like that without specifying if it was actually true or not right?  I, for one, was excited!

Unfortunately, Nintendo has confirmed that it in fact isn’t in the plans as specified by a Nintendo representative when asked about it.  This is what they had to say:

“At this time we have no plans to release The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword on Nintendo Switch.”

Talk about a complete bummer!  The thought of an HD remaster of Skyward Sword for Switch was fantastic especially given that the rest of the 3D entries in the series has either gotten a 3DS remake or an HD remake so why not Skyward Sword?  I’m incredibly disappointed to say the least.

Hopefully Nintendo will realize there is a demand for it and will make it happen eventually!
