Psyonix Responds to Sony Allowing Cross-Platform Play

Sony recently announced that they will be allowing cross-platform play for select games starting today with a Fortnite beta.  Psyonix Vice President of Publishing, Jeremy Dunham, when talking to Destructoid had this to say on the matter:

“We are really happy for the PlayStation and Fortnite communities and think that this is a great step forward. We know that Rocket League players and our own community want to know what this means for them as well, but we don’t have any updates at the moment. In the meantime, we recommend reaching out to PlayStation directly for any further comment.”

Cross-platform play is something Playstation users have been clamoring for on Rocket League, so it would be nice to expand that player pool when playing the game online.  Hopefully this is something that is in the works with Sony.

It couldn’t be that difficult, especially given that Pysonix has stated in the past that it is a simple matter of “flipping a switch” to make that happen.
