If you thought that The Banner Saga 3 was the end of the story we could be wrong. When speaking with Dualshockers, Stoic Studio co-founder Arnie Jorgensen indicated that they have been exploring ways in which to revisit the world of Banner Saga, even saying that an animated series is “the biggest plea that our community has had”. He also mentioned that they already have possible partners interested in helping make the series happen.
Other possible medium to expand on The Banner Saga mentioned by Jorgensen include a tabletop game (I would assume he is referring to a board game) and novels written by James Fadeley, the author behind The Banner Saga: The Gift of Hadrborg.
I have to admit, I have yet to play any of the titles in the series and that is an admission I’m ashamed of. I have seen the animation in the game and it is top notch. These games are definitely on my “to buy” list so once I clear up some room on my backlog I will most certainly be diving in. After only seeing the animation in the game, an animated series would be spectacular and all the apparent buzz around it really makes me want to experience it at my earliest opportunity.
