If you were holding out hope that Rainbow Six Siege was going to be coming to the Nintendo Switch we have some bad news for you. It has recently been confirmed by Ubisoft, themselves, that it is not planned for the Switch. This news was confirmed by Rainbow Six Siege brand director Alexandre Remy in an interview with Metro GameCentral where he said:
[It’s] not possible with the technical constraint and especially the frame rate of the game; 60 frames per second plus destruction is a bit CPU heavy and Switch is not yet the Nintendo console where it’ll be.
Is this a legit answer or one he just threw out to bypass the question? We have seen Panic Button do some incredibly amazing things with the Switch so was this even attempted or looked into or are they making excuses?
This news comes not too long after Ubisoft nonchalantly announced on Twitter that Steep was no longer in development on the Switch. What is going on with the house of Ubi?
