High Voltage Was Working On a Splatoon-like Shooter For Wii U

High Voltage software was known for bringing decent shooters to the Wii like The Conduit in 2009.  Eventually they even caught the eye of Nintendo, themselves.

Prior to Splatoon releasing on the Wii U it seems that Nintendo was tapping High Voltage for a secret project which was to be family friendly shooter where robots used water guns to shoot at each other which would fry the circuits.  High Voltage had 10 people assigned to the project but not even a month in development, someone within their team began leaking information.  Originally they gave High Voltage the chance to find the leaker from within their team but after being unsuccessful Nintendo put the breaks on development and canned the project altogether.

Now it seems that DidYouKnowGaming? has found the identity of leaker only to discover that the information was leaked due to the employee being unhappy with the working conditions.

How do you guys feel about this new info coming out?  How do you feel about leakers in general?  Let us know below or let’s chat about it in our Community forums!
