Super Smash Bros Ultimate Direct Livestream and Blog

Stay tuned on this post to watch the upcoming Super Smash Bros Ultimate Direct!  We will also be maintaining a live blog below the video.  Livestreaming is due to start at 9 am central/10 am eastern.  Enjoy!

 

Blog will be updated below as a bullet point list of the main points from the stream:

  • Simon Belmont of Castlevania is joining the roster (WHAT?)
  • Simon final smash is called Grand Cross
  • Richter of Castlevania is joining the cast as well
  • Will have a Castlevania themed stage as well (Dracula’s Castle)
  • Will introduce 34 new music tracks for Castlevania Dracula’s Castle stage
  • Dracula will appear in Dracula’s Castle stage
  • Two new echo characters: Chrom and Dark Samus
  • New Donk City Hall is coming as a new stage
  • Total number of stages is 103 currently
  • Stages can morph into others!
  • Music tracks are now categorized by game
  • Total number of tracks almost 900!!! (WOW!!!)
  • In handheld mode you can play music with the screen turned off
  • Stamina battle now a standard option
  • Loser of the previous battle can pick the stage
  • There are now chargeable final smashes
  • Training mode can now display launch distance
  • There are a slew of new Pokemon
  • New assist trophies with Knuckles, Kapp’n, Gray Fox, Nikki, Shovel Knight, the Moon from Majora’s Mask and many more
  • Rathalos from Monster Hunter a boss but also an assist trophy.  First character to appear as both (YES!!!)
  • Hidden “mode” on main menu they won’t be discussing just yet
  • KING K ROOL JOINS THE ROSTER….FINALLY!!!
